Ardea antica. - Ancient times of Ardea
L'acropoli di Ardea č prossima alla costa. Del "Magnum nomen" ardeatino vi č traccia gią nel primo trattato fra Roma e Cartagine. Ardea č ritenuta tra i primi cinque porti del Lazio. Situata alle foci del fiume "Incastro" a poco pił di quattro chilometri dal mare, rappresentava la via fluviale ideale per tutte le cittą latine dei "Colli Albani". Era luogo di leggende e culti ancestrali, e la tradizione ci informa che si tratta del primo abitato risalente all'etą del ferro, situato su un antico altipiano tufaceo.
The acropoli of Ardea are next to the coast. Of the "Magnum nomen ardeatino" there is trace already in the first treaty between Rome and Cartagine.
And Ardea is thought between the first five ports of the Lazio. Placed to mouth of the river " the Joint " little more than four kilometers from the sea, represented the ideal fluvial way for all the Latin cities pertaining to the group of those situated on the " Albani Necks ". It was ancestral place of legends and cults, and the tradition informs us that, first is inhabited the going back one to the age of the iron, on the ancient tufaceous plateau.
